Jefferson sophomore wrestler advanced to the State Final tomorrow in Bloomington with a 2-1 record on the day. She is in the final 8 wrestlers and needs just one more win for a medal.

Kylie is headed to Bloomington to compete in the state tournament this weekend. She is the first Jefferson girls wrestler to accomplish this feat.

Earlier today, many families incorrectly received an email about an "overnight suspension" due to tardies or missed class periods. Please review their attendance on home access center and contact the academy office if you have any questions.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The Welcome Center & Early Childhood Screening & Placement will be open for regular business services including enrollments, change of address, & screenings for all Pre-K through 12th grade. Plus, families can submit their special program lottery application.

This week, local high schoolers got a hands-on look at skilled trades at the NW IL Building Trades Expo! Hosted at the Plumbers & Pipefitters facility, students explored top apprenticeship programs and careers in construction.

Auburn High School will host a Military Fair on Tuesday, January 28th, for high school juniors and seniors. Students interested in pursuing a career in the military will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from military branches in the main gym at Auburn from 11:00am – 1:00pm (enter at the main entrance). The branches of the military will talk with students about what they do, careers that exist in their branches, expectations, and more. Only students seriously interested in joining the military should attend. Students from all RPS high schools are invited. If you have a student or if you are a student interested in attending, please see your Academy Coach.

All RPS 205 schools are closed today because of the colder than expected weather. All after-school activities are also cancelled including Y Care. The RPS 205 Admin Bldg, Sterling Holley, & Ops Support Ctr will be open. This day will be made up on March 3 (Casimir Pulaski Day).
