Jefferson players prepare for the serve

On Tuesday night, the Jefferson varsity volleyball team outperformed the Harlem Huskies, defeating them in both sets, 25-16 and 25-20.

In the first set, Jefferson held a solid lead at the first timeout, 23-16. Both teams executed strong passes, but the J-Hawks' defense secured the win in the first set.

Jefferson maintained a good lead to start the second set, eventually going up 19-16. The intensity in the gym increased as fans from both teams grew excited. The J-Hawks continued to hold their lead and defeated the Huskies 25-20. Amarie Wright was a key contributor, scoring seven consecutive points in the first set.

Jefferson’s next volleyball game will be at Belvidere North on Thursday night.
