Adiah Puckett serves the ball against Harlem

In an exciting JV matchup Tuesday afternoon, the J-Hawks outplayed Harlem.

The first set was a back-and-forth battle. Jefferson made a comeback, scoring four consecutive points after trailing 10-8 before the first timeout. The J-Hawks maintained their lead after the timeout and won the set 25-23.

Harlem came out with a lot of enthusiasm in the second set and led 13-8, thanks to their strong passing. Jefferson responded with five consecutive points, prompting a Huskies timeout.

The second set remained tight until the end, with Jefferson securing a 25-23 victory.

Adiah Pickett was crucial in closing out the game, serving the final six points for the J-Hawks.

“I was happy that I didn’t mess up,” Pickett said, "And that we were able to get the win.”

Jefferson’s next game will be at Belvidere North on Thursday night.
